The Theory Test

The theory test was introduced in 1996.
The aim was to better prepare provisional drivers for driving on today's roads where the skills and responsibilities needed are ever increasing.
Since being introduced the theory test has been updated several times and now includes a hazard awareness test designed to test candidates on their ability to identify and react to developing hazards whilst driving or riding.
To assist you with your training your instructor will supply you free of charge two CD's which cover all the questions from the theory test and practice clips for the hazard awareness.
The current charge that the DSA make for the theory test is £21.00 (May 1st 05)

17-70 also offers personal tuition to any one with learning difficulties or who is struggling with the theory test for any reason or to any one wishing to pass it quickly. This takes place on a one to one basis.
We were the first driving school to offer this service to our customers and in the nine years since the theory test was introduced we are proud to boast that we have to date only ever had ONE candidate fail.
The cost of our Theory Training is:
£20.00 per hour for those just needing a helping hand.
£240.00 for the complete course. This includes unlimited training until you pass and the theory test fee.
